Tanzania Honeymoon: Something for Everyone
Perhaps the most attractive reason people should choose to
honeymoon in Tanzania is that this is a country with so much
diversity, it has something for everyone. For anyone wishing to
combine an adventure of a lifetime on safari with some of the
finest beaches in the world, Tanzania is the place.
Tanzania Honeymoon: Best Safari Options
The North of Tanzania can provide the best safari experiences in
Africa for first -time safari goers, and some of the most
beautiful views on the continent. The South is perfect for
return visitors or those who wish to prefer a quieter, fly-in
safari, perhaps missing the extremely high volume of wildlife in
the North, but with the privacy and exclusivity of the South.
Tanzania Honeymoon: Best Indian Ocean Beaches and Diving
Zanzibar is an exceptional Island, with some of the best beaches
and diving in the world. Choose to either spend time soaking up
the atmosphere of Zanzibar's main island, reaching the beach
through the coconut groves and spice plantations of the island
centre, or otherwise head for an Indian Ocean Island retreat;
tiny coral atolls that surround the main island provide
unforgettable island hideaways, complete with ultimate beach and
options for exploring these stunning seas.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest perfect caldera in

Tarangire National Park
The park derives its name from the Tarangire River which
rises in Tanzania's central highland and snakes its way
through the length of this sanctuary.
Selous Game Reserve
The vast majority of Tanzania's elephant herd live in
one remote stretch of safari wilderness-the Selous Game
Reserve. Stigler's Gorge is one of the park's most
striking features.
Ruaha
crocodiles bask, hippos wallow and clawless otters zip
to and fro. Grazers came down through the acacia to
drink under the gaze of lion, leopard, spotted hyena,
jackal and hunting dog. Eurasian migrant birds flock
here twice a year and join the resident water birds-
everything from kingfishers to egrets.
Mt. Kilimanjaro
The mountain owes its existence to the formation of the
Great Rift Valley and is actually three volcanic cones
that, due to their proximity, became one - Shira,
Mawenzi and Kibo- together they make the highest free

this 'wedding cake' mountain all year round although the
best times are the dry months of January, February and

Bagamoyo was the major slave trading post in East

Tanzania Honeymoon Safari Adventure Holiday
Day 01: Arrive Arusha, Tanzania
Upon arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport and after
clearing customs and immigration, you will be met in our
traditional champagne-style and transferred to the Moivaro
Coffee Lodge. This beautiful small lodge is located on an
historic 40-acre coffee farm near Arusha, amid natural forest.
From the hotel you have a fantastic view of Mount Meru. The
lodge is an ideal starting point for the Safaris in the Northern
Circuit. Moivaro has a total of 40 cottages well positioned in
the beautiful gardens. Each cottage is individually placed
around the coffee plantation which ensures they are private and
very cozy. The interiors are fairly basic but very neat and very
comfortable. Each of the 40 picturesque cottages has its own
verhanda and there is a swimming pool, children's playground,
bar and restaurant as well as jogging path, massage room and
internet facilities. Dinner and Overnight at Moivaro Coffee
Lodge, All Meals included.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
Your honeymoon adventure starts with a visit to the famed Lake
Manyara National Park. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift
Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible
beauty. In Lake Manyara National Park, the hauntingly beautiful
soda lake sprawls on the Rift Valley floor, below the sheer red
cliffs of the escarpment. Sometimes pink-tinged with the wings
of migratory flamingos, Lake Manyara is home to pelicans and
many other bird species. Elephant, hippo, monkey, leopard and
bushbuck are found in the unique groundwater forest. Closer to
the vast lake, flat-topped acacia trees and open grassland are
host to plains species and the famous tree-climbing Manyara
lions. You can see many game animals such as Buffalo, Elephant,
Giraffe, Impala, hippo and others. Overnight at Lake Manyara
Serena Lodge. All meals included.
It is difficult to imagine a more spectacular setting for this
lodge - on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking
the Great Rift Valley and the stunning Manyara soda lake. The
extraordinary birdlife has made this place world-renowned among
ornithologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingos
and great birds of prey. The abundant birdlife inspired the
design of the Lodge - swooping curves are complemented by soft,
geometric patterns; striking murals depict bird migration
patterns. The circular shape of the buildings is a tribute to
indigenous architectural traditions in Tanzania. Beyond the
superb standards of hospitality offered, there is a spirit of
tranquility that prevails. The lodge is comprised of 67 luxury
rooms. Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. All meals included.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater & Conservation Area
This morning enjoy a relaxing breakfast before driving the short
distance to the "eighth wonder of the world", the Ngorongoro
Crater. Driving up the slopes of the lush green mountain and
arriving at the rim of the crater , the first glimpse takes your
breath away. The floor of this collapsed volcano spreads for 102
sq. miles and the walls are 2000 feet high, a truly awesome
sight. The crater floor is a virtual "Noah's Ark", inhabited by
almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa. It
contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake - complete with
flamingoes, a forest and open plains. After checking in to your
lodge, perched high on the crater rim, and enjoying lunch at the
lodge, you’ll depart with your guide and descend to the crater
floor for an afternoon of wildlife viewing. In the early evening
return to your lodge with time to freshen up and enjoy a drink
at
at your lodge.
This is one of the most luxurious lodges in Tanzania, perched on
the edge of the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater – a World Heritage
site! Inspired in design by the Maasai mud-and-stick manyatta
(homestead), three intimate camps comprise romantic suites.
Without doubt, the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is one of Africa's
architecturally most spectacular safari lodges. It consists of
three camps with Maasai-inspired suites. Each suite's opulent
design blends with African art elements in unexpected harmony.
The facilities include a central living area, viewing decks
overlooking the awesome crater. Overnight at Ngorongoro Crater
Lodge. All meals included.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater & Conservation Area
Early morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very
few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft.
high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras,
hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and
other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other
safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the
hidden animals. In the afternoon walking Safari on the crater
rim. Overnight at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. All meals
included. (Note: on that day it is also possible to do a full
day walking Safari in the Olmoti or Empakaai Crater, in the
Ngorongoro Highlands). Overnight at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. All
meals included.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National
Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop
at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey
made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory
that human life originated in Africa. After stopping for your
picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will
continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Overnight
in Serengeti, Serengeti Serena Lodge. Serengeti Serena Safari
Lodge is set high on a hill with breathtaking vistas of sweeping
grasslands and the unspoiled wilderness landscape of the
Serengeti plains. Big game feed in full view of the lodge, and
especially during April and June the migration passes through
this area! The lodge design is simple but stunning. Inspired by
a traditional African village, separate rondavel "huts" house
the luxury guest rooms that have their own view of the vast
Serengeti plains. A delightful water feature runs through the
main public areas, creating a natural source of waterborne
plants. All 66 guest rooms have private balconies with views of
the Serengeti plains. Overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari
Lodge. All meals included.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the
time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to
see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys,
baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other
species. As in Ngorongoro your Driver/Guide will be in contact
with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at
locating the hidden animals. Overnight in Serengeti, Serengeti
Serena Lodge. All meals included.
Day 7: Fly To Zanzibar - Stone Town

Mount Kilimanjaro
Climbing Routes
Marangu Route 8 Days Affectionately known as the "Coca-Cola
route", Marangu is by far the most popular route to the summit
of Kilimanjaro. This could partly be as a result of the fact
that the Marangu is the least expensive route, but more so,
perhaps the fact that it is possible to do the Marangu route in
6 days, thereby getting to the summit one day earlier than on
the Machame route.
Machame Route Sometimes called the Whisky Route. This is a
popular route up steep paths through magnificent forests to gain
a ridge leading through the moorland zones to the Shira Plateau.
It then traverses beneath the glaciated precipices of the
Southern Icefields to join the Barafu Route to the summit.
Umbwe Route
The Umbwe route is one of the
shortest routes to the Southern Glaciers and the Western Breach.
It is probably the most scenic, non-technical route on
Kilimanjaro. It is quite taxing, primarily due to the relatively
fast ascent to higher altitude, but the rewards are plentiful.
Lemosho Route
This is the longest and most remote
route to Kilimanjaro. After beautiful forests and moorlands it
crosses the Shira Plateau to meet up with the Machame Route.
Groups may be accompanied on the first day by an armed ranger as
the forests around the Lemosho Glades are rich in buffalo,
elephant and other game.
Rongai Route
This remote and less frequently used route is the second easiest
route to Kilimanjaro. The approach to the mountain is from the
less-forested north side and the descent is by the Marangu
Route. There are several variations, the one described below is
a longer route taking in Mawenzi Tarn.
Shira Route
The Shira route, approaches
Kilimanjaro’s summit from the west and crosses the caldera of
Shira Volcano before heading beneath the southern ice fields of
Kibo. The route is seldom used by other trekkers and so your
initial two days on the mountain are less crowded than on most
other routes.

- Oldonyo LeNgai "Mountain of God" in Tanzania
Mount Kenya Climbing At 5,199 m, Mount Kenya is the second
highest peak in Africa. It is an ancient extinct volcano, during
whose period of activity (3.1–2.6 million years ago) it is
thought to have risen to 6,500 m. There are 12 remnant glaciers
on the mountain, all receding rapidly, and four secondary peaks
that sit at the head of the U-shaped glacial valleys. With its
rugged glacier-clad summits and forested middle slopes, Mount
Kenya is one of the most impressive landscapes in East Africa.
The evolution and ecology of its afro-alpine flora also provide
an outstanding example of ecological processes. There are three
main routes, which penetrate the forest and the moorland. The
routes are Naromoru, Sirimon and Chogoria and each of which has
something different to offer. Naromoru is the fastest route to
point Lenana but not as scenic as the other two. Mt. Kenya's
Nelion Summit, Batian Summit and Point Lenana
-
Mount Kenya
Climbing Routes
-
Sirimon down Sirimon A more gradual trek to the
summit, traversing areas of rich forest cover before
emerging into the sprawling moorlands. This hike is
usually rated as the easiest among the short trips and
is quite popular with persons attempting to reach an
altitude exceeding 4000m for the first time. It is a
good choice for large trekking groups as it follows the
same trail up and down, making it convenient for those
who are unable to reach the summit to stay behind at
lower camps to wait for the rest of the group to
complete the trip then descend together. Unless
preferred, camping is not necessary as accommodation is
available in a lodge and mountain huts throughout the
trip.
Mt Kenya Climb Sirimon down Chogoria On this Mount Kenya
climbing experience, you ascend via the dry and little used
Sirimon Trail and descend on the scenic Chogoria Trail. You
reach point Lenana (4985 m), the highest point accessible to
walkers, and return to base. Mount Kenya is Africa's second
highest mountain. Above the habitable altitude, you find a
rainforest zone, abundant with many tree species and wildlife
too. Further up is open moorland, and beyond is the snow line
where vegetation is sparse. Finding snow on the equator was a
great surprise for the first Europeans to get to East Africa.
Sirimon down Narumoru The Naro Moru route is the fastest
and therefore also the most popular route onto the mountain,
being used by many of the tour and outfitting companies guiding
clients up to Point Lenana.
Mount Meru Climbing Mount Meru is one of Africa's most
beautiful volcanoes, and it is the second highest mountain in
Tanzania at 4,5685m, the third highest in Africa.
The mountain is located within Arusha National Park, Tanzania’s
gem. This prime location gives walkers the opportunity to spot
some of the birds and wildlife that inhabit the area. The ascend
is quite steep, the route to the summit passes over streams,
through parkland, montane forest, a giant heather zone and
moorland. The summit is reached by a narrow, barren ridge, which
provides stunning views of the Ash Cone lying several thousand
feet below in the crater. Weather permitting, Kilimanjaro can be
seen in the West. There are two huts available to climbers on
the mountain and firewood is supplied. The best time to climb
Meru is between October and February. But also June to
September, while it is colder then.

3 Days Masai Mara Lodge/ Camping Safari

This famous wildlife park is a top safari location, and
one of the natural wonders
of the world, being the site of the annual wildebeest
migration..
3 Days Amboseli Lodge/ Camping Safari or Tsavo
Safari to Mombasa
Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya's oldest park, is
located near the Kenya and
Tanzania border, "in the shadow" of Africa's highest
mountain, the snow capped Kilimanjaro.
The park is known for its wildlife, especially it's
prolific elephant population. Amboseli also hosts the
big cats, herbivores and numerous bird species including
flamingo and a variety of plains game.
-
Samburu Reserve, established in 1985, is an
arid, hilly region with riverine forests, doum
palms, acacia woodland and scrubland, offering a
dramatic and rugged landscape in a rather remote
location of Kenya - which is precisely the
attraction of this reserve - fewer tourists in a
wildlife rich, desert like setting amidst a
colourful local tribe.
